You are warmly invited to join us on Tuesday February 23rd at The American Legion Post at 1003 North Ave in Westfield for The Union County chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (http://nami-nj-uc.org) "Circle of Friends" - a free, informal evening of discussion and a chance to listen and learn and find out what services, programs and techniques might help you to deal with the problems that you are facing. Why try to “go it alone?” Come and meet new friends who are going through or have gone through what you are dealing with now. Pat Roman will explain what Family-to-Family education is all about. She will share her experience and knowledge with you from both the perspective of a family member and as Director of the Family-to-Family education program. Joyce Benz, LCSW Director of Intensive Family Support Services for the Union County Mental Health Association, will bring you up to date on services available in our area. She is qualified to speak on a variety of subjects relating to mental health issues. Geri Mueller, Secretary, NAMI, Union County will tell her story and share how she and her family cope with the problems facing her family and how NAMI has helped and Gloria Badgely, past President, Chairperson of children’s issues and member of NAMI/NJ Board will talk to us about what is going on at the state level and inform you about what our group has accomplished and what we are working on for the future. There is no charge; our information and friendship are priceless, but free.
